Celtic Concert: Sporting Molly
To open VWC's 2008-2009 Concert Series, the Celtic band Sporting Molly features Carol
Thomas Downing, fiddle, guitar and voice; Susan Lawlor, flutes and tin
whistles; Kenny Phaup, flutes and bodhran; with me as special
guest on hammered dulcimer. Together we perform the
traditional instrumental music and folksongs of Ireland, Scotland:
lively jigs, reels, and hornpipes, haunting slow airs and songs.
