I grew up in Monmouth, Illinois, but have been a resident of Virginia Beach, Virginia since 1987.  First Landing State Park and the Chesapeake Bay are each just a short walk from my house, so long morning hikes have become an essential part of my daily routine.  Music lessons in my home studio fill most days; finding ample time for art projects and practicing three favorite instruments (the French horn, hammered dulcimer, and piano) is a constant challenge.  My librarian daughter, Sara, lives in Virginia Beach, too, and is the designer of this website.

I often play solo hammered dulcimer for weddings, art gallery openings, receptions and other special events. For more information, please contact me.

I also play horn with Symphonicity, the symphony orchestra of Virginia Beach. For concert listings, visit www.symphonicity.org

The Tidewater Winds, in which I play horn, is a professional concert band in the Sousa tradition, performing indoors and outdoors, from the Harrison Opera House to the Virginia Beach oceanfront.  For the concert schedule, visit www.tidewaterwinds.org.
